The visit of Pope Francesco, who last Saturday paralysed the entire city of Palermo,

did not stop another worldly event of the highest order held in the city: the wedding of a Romanian emperor, daughter, of the former head of the secret service. . .
Romanian physicist Mircea Gheordunescu, to the Directorate of the Romanian Intelligence Service with the rank of Secretary of State until 2001. The young woman married, in Palermo, an engineer and entrepreneur from Romania who was also adopted by Milan.
A fairytale wedding that took place thanks to special authorizations despite the difficult day for the city. A dream for the beautiful bride who had been on holiday with her family in Palermo at the age of 14. Just then she decided that the day of her marriage she would return to marry right here, in the Sicilian capital with which the young woman remained in love.

The Holy Mass was celebrated in the splendid baroque church of San Giuseppe dei Teatini, in the Catholic rite, as per the will of the newlyweds, Razvan and Miruna to emphasize their love and recognition for the generous adoptive homeland, Italy, thus offering a true example of just cultural and spiritual integration.
Both Orthodox but converted to Catholicism have chosen precisely the multicultural Palermo for this reason.
The party was held in full catwalk style, has enlivened distinguished guests from around the world, from Palermo instead among the guests of the art critic Paolo Battaglia of La Terra Borgese. Because the catpardo as well as being an international icon of Sicilianity, retains deep meanings and values on the culture of society. Cocktails in Sicilian sauce, mixology with names like Palermo Mule or Gattopardo.

Lovers of Sicily and lovers of Palermo, the newlyweds have decided to give all their guests (many from all over Italy, Romania, Moldova, Macedonia, Albania, England and Lebanon) a journey through the beauty, riches and unmistakable charm of the Sicilian land, closing the event with a tour organized ad hoc the day after the wedding and followed by a brunch ended with an exclusive cart of ice cream in Sicilian style to seal the experience in its entirety, including culinary. For all, along with the traditional wedding favors, a bottle of perfume of Zagara di Sicilia.

The head of the organization of this event was Valentina Barrile, founder of Sicilianozze, who deals with the organization of luxury weddings and sought after throughout Sicily.
A spectacular wedding to complete which were hired dancers with varied shows, actors with performances designed specifically for the event, fireworks to the tune of Pavarotti and various services arrived from all over Sicily.

A glittering Ferrari accompanied the bride and groom from the church to the reception and then boarded a majestic carriage that arrives inside the villa of 700, home of the wedding banquet with a diplomatic flavor. Hundreds of red roses reflected in the light of golden candlesticks, the scent of Sicily, as cadeaux on the tables enveloped guests all evening, exquisite dishes were served by starred chefs, a giant cassata revisited to the scent of orange was a challenge taken up by master pastry chefs, ending with a valuable selection of grappas and spirits accompanied by a plumata confettata Barocca.

“It fills me with joy – says Wedding planner Valentina Barrile – when Sicily manages to convey hospitality and professionalism in its special care that only our land can offer. Miruna and Razvan, who will remain in my heart and in my path of professional growth, always evolving, were fantastic spouses,
very demanding but sweet, which have taken great care of those who have helped to fulfill their dream in our land.
When we asked them why two Romanians living in Milan chose Sicily and Palermo as the place for their wedding, they replied: “We want to live with our loved ones the extraordinary wealth of the Sicilians, and their great soul, which in our opinion represents the most precious resource and wealth of this blessed land! Long live Sicilia Bedda!”
